Alec Scott

Today we are sad. Today we grieve the loss of a good man. Alec Scott died on Friday April 13. Good Friday. He was a good father and a good father-in-law he was a believer and a Godly man. He was an organic farmer and a musician. He was private and kind. He was a husband and a grandfather. We will miss him as well as rejoice that on the day Jesus died for our sins 2000 years later Alex looked Jesus in the face. He spent Easter worshiping Jesus. We loved and love him.

I didn't know him well, but what I did know impressed me. Our prayers are with the whole family, that the peace and strength of Christ, along with the hope (as in certainty) of seeing him again someday will sustain everyone through this difficult time.
God bless.

we're praying for you, and i look forward to meeting him someday. i bet we'll all sit around in heaven having an organic burger (i'm sure at least one of the trees that revelations talks about will grow burgers...)

Peter, my prayers are with you and your wife and family.
You are so awesome to have around. I just thought you should know that. I hope to see you again soon.
Blessings....

Well this is definitely a first for me! I never knew what a blog was until about half a year ago (sad I know) But it's time to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. The trouble with having siblings who you grow up with and then get your own lives and families and then move more into a stage of being great friends moreso than siblings (although blood always remains a significant connecting factor) is that the things that matter most to them become increasingly important to you-good stuff and hard stuff. Especially as you grow out of the teen years and into a adult stage where you can actually think about someone other than yourself for once. So today, April 20th, (Alec Scott's funeral) I'm thinking and praying about my siblings and the people who are special to them as they go through a tough day. And also, I'm enjoying being able to write on this blog (I FINALLY figured out how to go about leaving a comment-kind of embarresed that it took me this long) Thanks for coloring with me when we were kids on the living room floor at 5:00 am on a Saturday morning while you could have been sleeping in...with only like 5 pencil crayons.
