consperisys and bad spelling abound!

the sterio in my truck has a demo mode that makes it flash coloures it has 9 or 10 diffrent coloures that it cycles through. it is everything from white to all the colours in the box of crayons! its kinda cool if not a little distracting. I picked my boy up from my sister and brother-in-laws place after work on wed, and thought my son might like if i turned on the colour show. he did! what i had not planed on was him assigning names to all the colours. he would assign blue to Eleyanna (my family dosrnt like easy to spell names! never gonna have a Bob in the family) and red to Darrell. Mandy had a dark grey (almost black) and Daddy had........ PURPLE!!

beans and brussel sprouts

The second most pregnant sister I have has requested that I tell the story of how it is I ended up with a sore back, a smashed truck (although not my truck) a new job, and movie tickets. The second most pregnant sister I have reads my blog when there is 10 minutes left in her work at the district office and she needs to fill the last few moments with something. The second most pregnant sister I have is likely the only sister I have that actually reads this blog. This is sad because I know it and you know it. I’m dang funny. There is a high percentage of fart jokes which greatly would amuse the most pregnant sister I have and there are occasional pictures of my family which would entertain the least pregnant sister I have. So here it is, folks. This past Sunday started like any other Sunday that I work. I got to the store slightly before 9am and prepared the computers and began to put away the returns. Suddenly, a man named Carey who works at back parts (giving car parts to the mechanics) came out, grabbed me (in a non creepy way) and said today you are working in back parts. I went to back parts, learned the computer system and began to do his job. In order for me to do his job, there are a few codes that I would need in order to mark car parts as sold and therefore pull them out of inventory. These codes are only given to the highest level managers. Therefore, I am totally unable to have one. However, Carey made a phonecall to Barb (the woman who really runs the whole show) and said Peter needs these codes, don’t worry about the paperwork, he needs them. So now I have all the codes that uppermanagement has. This is very interesting. I began to do my job and I get paged to go over to service. I walk over to service and the manager of service says to me, is your manager in today. At this point I should say that I work in autoparts, not service. I responded to the service manager that he was not and they pulled me into the back shop to have a conversation. At this point, they offered me a new position working in the service department with the customers, explaining that they liked my interpersonal skills and like that I seemed to know something about cars. I responded that I needed to talk to my wife before I made any decisions. I walked out of the service department, dazed. At this point, Carey from back parts came out and said Peter, do you want to go for a drive. Sure, I responded, and took the keys to the shop truck and drove over to the Can Tire next to the old Ikea. After making my pickup, I turned around and started to drive back. I was sitting at the red light on the bridge overtop of 16th when an Acura Legend slammed into the back of the shop truck. Sending me flying forward. My encounter with the woman driving the legend was a story in itself, however I will save that for later. Suffice to say, my back and neck are sore and we have one bent truck. About an hour later I made it back to work and was met by one of the mucky mucks who work upstairs. They said to me, someone called in and said that you had been very helpful to them when they were buying something. The store’s policy is when we find about someone doing a good job, we give them movie passes. Do now my wife and I are going out this weekend to a movie. Some of you think that the story ends here. Some of you, including my wife, think there is nothing more to tell. However, at work today, I was offered the position of Sports manager. (my wife is typing this and she is not entirely shocked that she doesn’t know pertinent bits of information that could possibly affect her and her son’s future…..she’s not bitter….ouch……). anyone out there think that me working in a sports department is a good fit?

Cars suck and God is good!

last night, i was at my job when i got a call from my wife, Mandy. She toled me that the 4 wheel drive on the durango wasent working and there was some very loud grinding sounds. CRAAPP! i went over to my sister and brother-in-law's place thismorning to find that somehow the cv (constant velosity) shaft was snaped in 2 pieces! COOL! Never seen that before. The problem is that the truck needs to be on the highway to Bampf on friday. gotta figure out how to do this. That being said, I am so so so glad it dident hapen to Mandy and her Mom on her way to bampf. That would have been very dangerous. Thanks God!
